The snow covered the Fredriksten Fortress in Halden today, located near the Swedish border, and is home to dramatic Norwegian military history. From towers on the hill we got a wonderful overview over the centre of Halden. At this seventeenth century fortress we learned about culture and history, especially that the fortress never been conquered.
Winter sunshine at the canal park Sjøbadet in Moss, Norway, early afternoon on 12th January 2013. In the park it`s a statue of The Norwegian Lady looking across the Atlantic in the direction of her sister, who stands in the same posture on Virginia Beach, USA. Next to the statue you will find Sjøbadet, a beach situated practically in the town centre.
Happy New Year 2013 to you all! The New Year`s celebrations in Moss, near Oslo, in Norway, rose to big heights. The firework painted the dark sky over Moss, with all kind of patterns, colours and sounds. It`s for making wishes in the sky for the new year.

The winter season in Norway has started. On a tour from Skeikampen to Skardbua in Norway, the Norwegian skiing enthusiast Lars Baukhol took some beautiful photos with his iPhone5. He was skiing fast, but able absorbing the white beauty of nature.
To get the best view over Jeløy and the Oslofjord, is from the three tallest hills Rambergtoppen, Bjørnåsen and Rødsåsen in Moss, Norway. The paths up to these hills passes through Jeløy's protected landscape of woods, rocks and cultural sites.
