New age of explorations in the current century - New generation of travellers take advantage of well developed infrastructure, transportation and communication!

The heydays of explorations and discoveries were from the early 15th century and into the early 17th century. This period was the so-called Age of Discovery or Age of Exploration. At that time Europeans sailed around the world to search for new trading routes. To boost the growing of industrialism there were need for new resources and supplies. Captain James Cook extended the Age of Exploration with his expeditions and discoveries in the late 1700 century. Today an increasing number of people travel around the world searching for unique adventures at well known places. There are better opportunities for transportation and communication now than it was for some centuries ago, and eager travellers know how to take advantage of them to reach remote areas.
