Moss, Norway - Beautiful snow creations in Mosseskogen in Christmas 2009!

2009-12-29
Rising out of the snow, magnificent creations in Moss trigs your imagination. This Christmas the pristine forest Mosseskogen in Moss is full of temporary creations creating a stunning illusion of motion.

Photo. Snow-covered pine trees with natural made snow creations in Mosseskogen, the pristine forest in Moss, Norway.

These creations are mostly abstract. First and foremost I find them very decorative, especially when the snow is illuminated by sun. The forest is mostly very dense so it`s hard for the sun rays to break through the trees and branches, but on the top of the trees the snow shines up.

Mosseskogen, the pristine forest in Moss, offers beautiful scenic nature with big trees, hills, mountains, valleys, lakes and extensive hiking trails.

The sky was clear blue, the sun was shining and snow covered the big pine trees. It was really enjoyable go skiing around in the Moss forest admiring all the strange figures created by the snow.

In Moss there has been snowfalls of circa 55 cm in the Christmas days. The temperature fall as low as -15 C overnight to 29 December.

People in Moss have been enjoying its first good snowfalls of the winter. In many other parts of the Norway it has been snowing too and weather forecasters are predicting more over the next few days with very cold temperatures in most areas.
