Kvamsfjellet mountain, Norway - Enjoying a magic blue evening in the white winter!

2012-01-09
On Friday 6th January 2012, the sunset created a magic blue colour over the cold, snowy and wild winterlandscape at Kvamsfjellet mountain, Kvam in Norway. Even the peaks of Rondane become blue.

This spectacular sunset photography of Kvamsfjellet`s blue winter wonderland, was taken by Fredrik Weikle from Kvam, Norway.

The Rondane mountain range is located in Rondane National Park, and consists of ten peaks above 2,000 metres (6,560 ft), with the highest being Rondslottet at an altitude of 2,178 m (7,146 ft).

Kvamsfjellet mountain is very popular for skiing. The beautiful landscape in the area offers machine-groomed trails which connect to the trail network leading towards Høvringen in the north and Venabygdsfjellet in the south.

Here skiers can enjoy over 2,500 km of interlinked trails. At Kvamsfjellet, the trails go through a varied landscape ranging from gentle mountain terrain to old pine forests.

Kvamsfjellet mountain and the nearby Rondane National Park, offers all sorts of accommodation: from modern hotels to old farm houses and mountain cabins far out in the wild landscape.
