The beautiful Trakai Castle is located in Trakai, Lithuania. It’s the ancient capital in the country, and has a bloody history. The construction of the stone castle begun in the 14th century by Kestutis. It was built as a fortress but after the Battle of Grünenwald in 1410 it became the residence of the Grand Duke. Later it was used as a prison, and now it’s a popular tourist attraction.
