Here we present reviews of the most exciting traditional music and dance.

96 Lives - Christan Slawinski and Al McHardy - Live in Moss, Norway

2015-02-24

This new tribute song "96 Lives" for Hillsborough was performed by Christan Slawinski and Al McHardy at the pub Øre Villa Kro in the town of Moss, south east in Norway, Sunday 22nd February 2015. "96 Lives" really touched the audience heart. Watch the supporters rise up from their chairs in the middle of the song.

The concert was organised by Liverbirds Moss, the local supporter club for Liverpool in Moss. Liverpool supporters contributed here today to Jamie Carragher's charity, the 23 Foundation.

The song "96 Lives" is available on iTunes and Spotify, via liverpoolhearts.com. It*s also available on the streaming service Wimp.

For every download of 96 Lives a contribution will be made to the Hillsborough Justice Campaign and Hillsborough Family Support Group, and also to Jamie Carragher's charity, the 23 Foundation.

In 2014, the fight for justice for the 96 innocent victims of the Hillsborough disaster of 1989 continues in earnest. 96 Lives tells the story of an individual wrestling with his own moral judgement against the backdrop of the wrong-doings that occurred in the wake of the tragedy. In utter disbelief of the actions of those who were trusted to act in the best interests of the people, our protagonist ultimately finds comfort and faith in what is right, through the strength shown by those who continue to fight for justice.

Christan Slawinski is a singer/songwriter from Aughton, Lancashire, and the lead singer in the London-based trio, The Branco Heist. Christan was only 7 years old when the Hillsborough disaster took place but as an eager supporter of Liverpool Football Club and as a lover of the city of Liverpool the issue has always been there.
